Healthcare
Constructed in 1933, the General Hospital is a 1.2-million-square-foot, 19-story structure. It is undergoing structural stabilization, seismic retrofitting, and interior remediation to preserve both its landmark status and safety. The surrounding 12-acre West Campus is being prepared through the demolition of outdated structures, utility reconfiguration, soil remediation, and accessibility upgrades. Future plans envision adaptive reuse and redevelopment consistent with the “Healthy Village” vision, integrating housing, medical services, and community amenities. Cambridge CM is providing comprehensive project and construction management services, beginning with the master planning and design phases.
